Hey readers,
How have you'll been? Again, it's been a long time since I wrote my thoughts and posted them. But I guess that's to be expected. However, while I sat pondering more about life yesterday, I wrote a few lines and created three poems!
I wish I could explain how good that felt. A part of me felt I could never write poems the way I once did. But that is also a part of the experience, so I embraced it.
You can read more about my thoughts below, but I wanted to share the following bit with everyone. I use the name 'veilleuse' as my poet name and realized I never explained what it means. It may sound strange but in French, it means 'night light'.
Years back, when I tried to come up with a 'cool' name, I realized I wanted something that was meaningful to me. Night light to me is short for "Happiness can be found in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the lights"- Albus Dumbledore.
Yes, a line from Harry Potter, is my life even complete without it? (NO!) Poems were my escape from all the dark thoughts and from the real world. I needed a word that could explain that and veilleuse just...felt right.
So there you have the story of my poet name and now I'll stop so you can read the poems! Hope you like them and connect with them the way I did.
