THE HIDDEN SUN

Writer's picture: SamanthaSamantha

It's hard to not feel sometimes

The pain, the anger, the resentment

They build up over time.

These conflicted emotions that course through your veins

With the pressure building up to push those feelings deep underneath.

The pressure to find a place

To hide these feelings

The ones you want to shout out the most

But know better than to let them out.

It's hard to not act on them and cry your lungs out

It hurts your very being to hide it.

As time goes by

There comes a time where you don't hide no more,

The pain within dies out

You understand those emotions

The confusion and anger turn into small ripples in the vast ocean of emotions.

They don't seem so frightening anymore,

Compared to the hell you have been through.

They seem like a picture you thought you understood

Until you turned it upside down to see the dark clouds hiding the rising sun.
